Beginner / Level 1
Little or no experience? Come learn the basics of Yoga. In this class we will learn the fundamental Yoga poses. Learn basic breath work & Meditation. Guided relaxation helps the body/mind relieve excess tension. A great class to start to find out "What is Yoga?"
0-5 years Yoga experience
Level 1.5
Already taken beginner Yoga but not quite ready for the inversions we explore in level 2?
In this class we will continue to work on the fundamental Yoga poses & you will explore the poses (Asana's) on a deeper level.
We will work towards longer holds & more advanced poses.
In level 1.5 we will increase our core strength to get us ready for inversions
In this class we start to explore longer Meditations,
Yoga traditions & Pranayama (the art and science of breathing).
An introduction to Yoga philosophy is also included.
A minimum of 2 years of regular Beginner Yoga/Level 1 experience is a must for this class
Level 2-Continuing The Journey
Already taken Beginner Yoga?
Want to deepen knowledge and understanding of Yoga,
then this the class for you!
In level 2 you will explore the poses (Asana's) on a deeper level.
We will work towards longer holds & more advanced poses.
In level 2, we will increase our core strength & start to work on
supported inversions (headstands, shoulderstands, & handstands) as well as arm balances!
In this class we start to explore longer Meditations,
Yoga traditions & Pranayama (the art and science of breathing).
An introduction to Yoga philosophy is also included.
3-5 years of regular Yoga class experience and a willingness to explore inversions is a must for this class
Yoga For Backs
I've got your back!
Experience the benefits of Yoga with a focus on the back,
neck & shoulders. Whether you sit at a desk all day or are
generally sore & tight, this class is for you!
Special attention will be given to stretching & strengthening
all the muscles that support the back including the core!
Breathing exercises, Meditation & relaxation techniques
are used to aid the mind/body in letting go
of excess tension & promote healing!
Please note:
This is not a restorative class
This class is not suitable for persons with acute injuries or
severe Scoliosis
You must be comfortable on your hands and knees
No experience required
Gentle Yin/Yin Yoga
Yin Yoga, based in concepts of Taoist Yoga, emphasizes the connective tissues of the hips, thighs, pelvis and lower spine. It is characterized by the relaxed practice of floor Asana's using the support of props when needed for three to five minutes at a time. Yin yoga postures gently stretch and rehabilitate the connective tissues that form our joints, allowing us to maintain and restore joint & muscle flexibility.
Some previous Yoga experience is recommended for this class
